Elegancia Music ("we," "us," "our") is a Colorado-based DJ and entertainment service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information You Provide Directly When you inquire about or book our services, you may provide:

  • Billing and payment information (processed securely — see Section 3)

  • Music preferences, do-not-play lists, and event timeline information

  • Any other information you voluntarily submit via forms, email, or direct message

Information Collected Automatically When you visit our website (hosted on Squarespace), certain data may be collected automatically, including:

  • Pages visited, time spent on site, and referring URLs

Information from Third-Party Platforms If you contact us through a third-party platform such as GigSalad, social media, or a referral service, we may receive your name, contact information, and event details as provided on that platform.

  • Provide DJ, emcee, and event services as contracted

  • Process payments and send invoices or receipts

  • Send event-related communications including reminders, timelines, and follow-ups

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

To operate our business, we work with the following third-party services that may process your personal information on our behalf. Each operates under its own privacy policy and data security standards.

Please note that Venmo transactions may be visible to other Venmo users depending on the sender's privacy settings. Elegancia Music is not responsible for information disclosed through Venmo's platform settings. We recommend clients set their Venmo transactions to private before sending payment.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these services directly for details on how they handle your data. We do not control their data practices beyond our contractual agreements with them.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your information is stored within the platforms listed in Section 3. We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including:

  • Using password-protected accounts with access limited to authorized personnel

  • Relying on industry-standard encryption provided by our third-party platforms

  • Not storing full payment card numbers — all payment data is handled directly by Square, Stripe, or Venmo

We retain client information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal or tax obligations. Booking records are generally retained for a minimum of three (3) years following the event date.

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site and analyze traffic. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us understand how visitors use our site.

Types of cookies that may be in use:

  • Functional cookies: Required for the website and booking forms to operate correctly

  • Analytics cookies: Used by Squarespace to provide aggregate traffic and usage data

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of certain features on our website. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional communications related to an active booking.

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at info@eleganciamusic.com and we will take steps to delete it.
